My Review:

Wow! Such a great add to the series!! I have absolutely loved this series and all the characters. I cannot believe all that happened in this book. I went into this thinking it was the last book but after that ending I realize now that there is a 5th book, which is going to be amazing! I need to purchase this book as soon as possible!

- Evie
I am so happy for Evie, she is much better than in the last book. I am proud of Evie, she is great in this book. Zeke really challenges her and she is so much more better than what she thought she was capable of, she doesn't have to rely on anyone or lean on somebody to live her life.

- Zeke
Zeke is better through every book. There is more emotion in this book from him and it is just awesome! I really love Zeke, he pushes Evie to be the best that she can be and I think that that is just adorable!

Overall, I loved this book! I cannot wait to purchase the finale of this book. The ending was so shocking I almost dropped my kindle in surprise. Of all the things that could happen that was the thing I least expected. This book was great!

The Healing by Kassandra Kush - Book Review

Title: The Healing
Author: Kassandra Kush
Publication: September 24, 2013
Series: The Things We Can't Change #3
Format: Ebook
My Rating: ♥♥♥♥

Summary:

Devastated by the loss of her father, Evie is floundering, drowning, and reaching out desperately for a lifeline – and finding absolutely nothing to cling to.

Still unable to come to terms with the death of his sister, Zeke is going on mindlessly, with no thought of tomorrow, only living in the now and trying furiously to bury and deny his emotions.

Two people who have both lost and suffered so much can only ignore each other’s pain for so long before seeing the similarities in what they are feeling. As Evie clings to Zeke as the one thing that makes her feel safe and grounded, Zeke can’t deny that she’s the one person who makes him feel – and feel emotions that he’s not sure he wants to push away.

Against both their better judgment and wishes, Evie and Zeke begin sharing their problems and grief, and they discover things that startle both of them; understanding. Empathy. Affinity. Compassion. And maybe, if they are willing to dig deep enough and try hard enough and trust enough, the most important thing of all.

Healing.

My Review:

Wow, this book was great! Definitely a great add to the series! I have enjoyed this series from book one and I am still enjoying it. I am loving this series more and more by every book I read. Not a lot of people have heard about this book but I am glad I found it because I have absolutely loved them.

- Evie
Evie is getting better and better by every book that comes. She is stronger, and much more better. She is still relying on Zeke way too much in my opinion, she has to learn how to take care of herself without the help of anyone.

- Zeke
Ah Zeke, such a great guy. He is so sweet even though he doesn't like to show he is. He should show his feelings more often. I love reading from both sides of point of views, I love seeing how Zeke is feeling and also how Evie is. I don't think this book would be the same if we were just reading from Evie's point of view or Zeke's. They challenge and know each other so well it is just adorable.

Overall, I really liked this book. This was a great add to the series and I am excited to get onto the next book, which I probably will very soon. That ending was so amazing, everything is going to be different now after that ending

Everneath by Brodi Ashton - Book Review

Title: Everneath
Author: Brodi Ashton
Publication: January 24, 2012
Series: Everneath #1
Format: Ebook
My Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥

Summary:

Last spring, Nikki Beckett vanished, sucked into an underworld known as the Everneath. Now she’s returned—to her old life, her family, her boyfriend—before she’s banished back to the underworld . . . this time forever. She has six months before the Everneath comes to claim her, six months for good-byes she can’t find the words for, six months to find redemption, if it exists.

Nikki longs to spend these precious months forgetting the Everneath and trying to reconnect with her boyfriend, Jack, the person most devastated by her disappearance—and the one person she loves more than anything. But there’s just one problem: Cole, the smoldering immortal who enticed her to the Everneath in the first place, has followed Nikki home. Cole wants to take over the throne in the underworld and is convinced Nikki is the key to making it happen. And he’ll do whatever it takes to bring her back, this time as his queen.

As Nikki’s time on the Surface draws to a close and her relationships begin slipping from her grasp, she is forced to make the hardest decision of her life: find a way to cheat fate and remain on the Surface with Jack or return to the Everneath and become Cole’s queen.

Everneath is a captivating story of love, loss, and immortality from debut author Brodi Ashton.

My Review:

This was a great read. I thought I wasn't going to like this book a whole lot because it didn't seem interesting enough for me to love, but I ended up loving it. I was confused in the beginning and the date changing in between chapters but a little further into the book and it all starts to unfold and is easier to understand what happened in the beginning and all the events that led up to what happened to her.

- Nikki
I like Nikki's character. She is really smart, and a great main character. She wasn't irritating (only a little) but once she makes a decision there is no talking her out of it. She is strong, she doesn't let Cole push her around and make all the decisions for her. I would change, however, how she acted in the beginning. She acted like a whole different person than what we see in between chapters from the past. Although, I might be seeing this wrong because she was going for awhile and I don't know how I would have acted if I was in her position but I just wished she tried a little than what she gave us.

- Jack
I love Jack. He is so amazing, I cannot believe all that he has done for Nikki. He is amazing. I still cannot believe what he did, my eyes were tearing up the entire chapter. He is brave and he did something so unbelievably brave, he is just amazing.

- Cole I did not like Cole at all. He is the worst character in the book in my opinion. Jack is so much better. Why can he not just leave her alone? I don't know why he even went into her life to begin with, he should have just left her alone.

Overall, I loved this book. I would have turned down the 5 stars to 4 because of Cole but I loved it so much to just overlook it. I am excited to get into the next book. I am also glad because now since we are caught up from her past there won't be flashback moments in the next book, I hope. This book was great, Jack has to come back, he just has to! The book played out very slowly, which usually annoys me, but I was entertained through it all.

Beautiful Redemption by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl - Book Review

Title: Beautiful Redemption
Author: Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl
Publication: October 23, 2012
Series: The Caster Chronicles #4
Format: Ebook
My Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥

Summary:

Is death the end . . . or only the beginning?

Ethan Wate has spent most of his life longing to escape the stiflingly small Southern town of Gatlin. He never thought he would meet the girl of his dreams, Lena Duchannes, who unveiled a secretive, powerful, and cursed side of Gatlin, hidden in plain sight. And he never could have expected that he would be forced to leave behind everyone and everything he cares about. So when Ethan awakes after the chilling events of the Eighteenth Moon, he has only one goal: to find a way to return to Lena and the ones he loves.

Back in Gatlin, Lena is making her own bargains for Ethan's return, vowing to do whatever it takes -- even if that means trusting old enemies or risking the lives of the family and friends Ethan left to protect.

Worlds apart, Ethan and Lena must once again work together to rewrite their fate, in this stunning finale to the Beautiful Creatures series.

My Review:

This book was amazing. What can I say? I have loved this book since Beautiful Creatures, I fell in love with this series since book one and I still adore it. I don't know what else to say other than I thought I thought this book was phenomenal!

- Ethan
Ethan is one of the best male leads you can find. He is a fighter, he doesn't give up no matter what. His love for Lena is undeniable. I will always love Ethan's character.

- Lena
I think Lena is the best she's been than the rest of the books. No matter what people tell her she doesn't give up (sound familiar?). She was her own person and was extraordinary.

- Amma
I love Amma. She is the best of the best. She has more courage that I would have ever had.

Overall, I wish I could detail more about all the characters but I am trying my hardest not to spoil anything, if I can go any further I would spoil a whole lot for people who haven't read this book. I love this series and thought this was a great end to the series. I am glad I finished this series but I am also devastated it ended. This series is one I won't forget.

Cinder by Marissa Meyer - Book Review

Title: Cinder
Author: Marissa Meyer
Publication: January 3, 2012
Series: The Lunar Chronicles #1
Format: Hardcover
My Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥

Summary:

But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future.

My Review:

This book was marvelous. I had a hankering for more. I absolutely loved this book. I am so excited to start the next book. There was so much that happened that I remembered at the end that this is just the beginning. I cannot wait to start the next books in the series, I have no idea what is to come and I am ecstatic to start them.

- Cinder
I love Cinder's character. She is an amazing main character to read about. She is caring and is not afraid to stand up for herself. Although, I do wish she was a little more considerate at what was said to her, I know it is a lot to take in but she overreacted way too much. I am thrilled to see what she does in the next book.

- Kai
Oh my god, I was speechless at the end. I love Kai so much from the beginning but the end turned me, I don't know why he said what he said but the boy better get his act together. The Kai in the beginning: I thought he was an awesome character and very caring. He was persistent and was a great male character, but now I do not know what to expect from him.

Overall, I thought this book was very unique. This retelling of Cinderella is fantastic. A cyborg Cinderella? First I heard of that, anyone else? I do not know what is coming for the next book but I know it has to be good. There is so much that could happen and I am just anxious to start it. I loved this book!

Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr - Book Review

Title: Wicked Lovely
Author: Melissa Marr
Publication: June 12, 2007
Series: Wicked Lovely #1
Format: Harcover
My Rating:  ♥♥♥♥

Summary:

Rule #3: Don't stare at invisible faeries.
Aislinn has always seen faeries. Powerful and dangerous, they walk hidden in the mortal world. Aislinn fears their cruelty - especially if they learn of her Sight - and wishes she were as blind to their presence as other teens.

Rule #2:  Don't speak to invisible faeries.
Now faeries are stalking her. One of them, Keenan, who is equal parts terrifying and alluring, is trying to talk to her, asking questions Aislinn is afraid to answer.

Rule #1: Don't ever attract their attention.
But it's too late. Keenan is the Summer King, who has sought his queen for nine centuries. Without her, summer itself will perish. He is determined that Aislinn will become the Summer Queen at any cost — regardless of her plans or desires.

Suddenly none of the rules that have kept Aislinn safe are working anymore, and everything is on the line: her freedom; her best friend, Seth; her life; everything.

Faery intrigue, mortal love, and the clash of ancient rules and modern expectations swirl together in Melissa Marr's stunning twenty-first-century faery tale.

My Review:

This was a nice read. It was a little hard for me to get into the book in the beginning, I was pretty bored and kept dosing off. I had to reread a couple of pages to remember what was going on. After a while though, the book was more satisfying. I was having a hard time picturing what the faeries looked like, but after a while I got a good picture in my head.

- Aislinn
Aislinn was an enjoyable main character, I loved her attitude and thought she was good at handling a few things herself. She took charge when she needed to and was a great character to read. I had no idea what to expect from what was going on.

- Seth
I love Seth. Seth is ridiculously amazing. I have no idea who would be better for Aislinn, he is incredible, funny, caring and would do anything to protect Aislinn. At first, I pictured him as one of the other guys I have read about but as she started saying piercings I felt a little disgusted but he is still handsome at the most.

- Keenan
I had some trouble liking Keenan. I didn't really like his character. He just didn't rub me in the right way. I don't know maybe it's just me but I didn't really like him. I like how it ended for him but I was having trouble seeing him as a great guy. Of course his heart is in the right place and is a good man I just don't see him as a big part in this book.

Overall, I liked this book a lot. I wasn't sure what to expect but I wasn't really expecting this. The story played out nice and I was loving almost all the characters, of course not the ones that are obvious, but I am curious to see what comes next for this series.

Swoon Worthy Saturday [1]

Saturday is a day for swooning. Swoon Worthy Saturday is a weekly meme where we present a fictional boy who has swept us off our feet, given us butterflies, made our heart do acrobatics and driven us absolutely crazy!

This week's Swoon Worthy Saturday is dedicated to Shane from the Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine.

"Damn, Claire. Warn a guy before you do a face-plant on the floor next time. I could have looked all heroic and caught you or something."
-Shane Collins *Glass Houses: Book #1*

Shane is one of the best fictional boy who I loved ever. He is amazing, hilarious, sweet and hardcore. I have no idea what Claire would have done without him, he is phenomenal.

"Hannah leaned against the wall. "Mind if I call shotgun?" Since you're carrying one? Feel free."  -Shane Collins and Hannah. *Lord of Misrule: Book # 5*

Whenever I need a good laugh, I can always count on Shane to handle it. He cares so much for Claire which is just adorable. He will do anything for her, I wish I find a guy just like him. It would be nice to live that life with him (of course, not with all the vamps).

"Shane looked down at the staked vamp at his feet. "Claire?" "Yes?" "You staked a vampire with a number two pencil." "I didn’t actually check the number." "Have I told you lately how freaking awesome you are?"
-Shane Collins and Claire Danvers *Kiss of Death: Book #8*

Deadly Little Secret by Laurie Faria Stolarz - Book Review

Title: Deadly Little Secret
Author: Laurie Faria Stolarz
Publication: December 23, 2008
Series: Touch #1
Format: Hardcover
My Rating: ♥♥♥♥

Summary:

Up until three months ago, everything in sixteen-year-old Camelia's life had been fairly ordinary: decent grades; an okay relationship with her parents; and a pretty cool part-time job at the art studio downtown. But when Ben, the mysterious new guy, starts junior year at her high school, Camelia's life becomes anything but ordinary.

Rumored to be somehow responsible for his ex-girlfriend's accidental death, Ben is immediately ostracized by everyone on campus. Except for Camelia. She's reluctant to believe the rumors, even when her friends try to convince her otherwise. She's inexplicably drawn to Ben and to his touch. But soon, Camelia is receiving eerie phone calls and strange packages with threatening notes. Ben insists she is in danger, and that he can help-but can he be trusted? She knows he's hiding something... but he's not the only one with a secret.
From the best-selling author of Blue is for Nightmares comes a story of paranormal romance that's sure to be a thrilling and chilling teen favorite.

My Review:

This was an awesome book. I really liked this book. It had me guessing every little thing, putting everyone as suspects. I thought this was a really cool read. I am really ready to reach onto the next book to see what holds. The role that Ben plays is unique, I would not have guessed that would be the issue of what was going on until later.

- Camelia
Camelia was a strong character. It's nice to know there a few people who don't care about what others think and what they think of others. She was really brave. If there was something I would change about Camelia it would be that she should have gone to her parents or the police when the guy entered her house and left gifts. She would have been a lot safer. Her pottering skills are intense, I had no idea what to pull of the idea of the car without wheels but it may seem like she can sense the future. It is really cool. And I know that she can sense the future for a fact because right after I finished the book I searched up the second book to see what it was going to be about.

- Ben
I am really glad Camelia didn't bother with everyone talking bad about him and still decided based on her own feelings about him to try and talk to him. If he would have saved my life I would have thought better of him as well. I didn't know what was going on with him at first, he was acted rather strange. I had a feeling the way he acted was the same way the person on the 2nd point of view was thinking. I had no idea what to expect from him but I'm pretty sure people have a better feeling of him after reading the book.

The next book seems great. A love triangle? Yikes! I will have to wait until I can get the next book in hand. I though Kimmie's character was just too much to handle. That is why I brought my fifth star down, her character was very irritating and just thought everything was a joke from one of the other guys when it was very serious and Camelia's life was in danger. She was insensitive to Camelia's feelings and only really thought of herself, it was always her her her.

Overall, this book was great. I enjoyed myself and thought this was a nice book to lay down and read I didn't get bored once throughout the book and did not feel as though it dragged, which annoys me all too well. I am looking forward to next book to see what is going on. It seems as though Ben is leaving so what is going to happen to their relationship? And why are there so many secrets?

To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han - Book Review

Title: To All The Boys I've Loved Before
Author: Jenny Han
Publication: April 15, 2014
Series: To All The Boys I've Loved Before #1
Format: Ebook
My Rating: ♥♥

Summary:

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.

My Review:

This was an alright book, it was very predictable and I am not sure I want to read the sequel. Lara was a little too immature for her age and she calls her daddy, daddy all through the book. Kitty got angry so easily. I am not going to write a full on review about this book, but I will say a couple of thoughts.

Josh was a nice character and I thought he was really cute. Lara was too annoying and too immature. Kitty was so mad about lots of things, but she does act as a little sister would. I wasn't impressed with this book.

Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi - Book Review

Title: Ignite Me
Author: Tahereh Mafi
Publication: February 4, 2014
Series: Shatter Me #3
Format: Hardcover
My Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥

Summary:

The heart-stopping conclusion to the New York Times bestselling Shatter Me series, which Ransom Riggs, bestselling author of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, called “a thrilling, high-stakes saga of self-discovery and forbidden love.”

With Omega Point destroyed, Juliette doesn’t know if the rebels, her friends, or even Adam are alive. But that won’t keep her from trying to take down The Reestablishment once and for all. Now she must rely on Warner, the handsome commander of Sector 45. The one person she never thought she could trust. The same person who saved her life. He promises to help Juliette master her powers and save their dying world . . . but that’s not all he wants with her.

The Shatter Me series is perfect for fans who crave action-packed young adult novels with tantalizing romance like Divergent by Veronica Roth, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and Legend by Marie Lu. Tahereh Mafi has created a captivating and original story that combines the best of dystopian and paranormal, and was praised by Publishers Weekly as “a gripping read from an author who’s not afraid to take risks.” Now this final book brings the series to a shocking and satisfying end.

My Review:

** spoiler alert ** Wow. This book was perfection. I have no idea why so many people did not like this book, I thought it was fantastic! I could not put it down. I did not see this coming from the book. There was amazing romance, action, fighting and just amazing.

- Juliette
Juliette was so much better in this book. She wasn't a baby like in the other books, even though I still loved them. She is more strong (physically as well) and I am so happy how it ended up for her. She was more confident and was simply amazing in battle. She knows how to take charge and is great main character.

- Warner
I fell in love with Warner through this book. You see so much good in him and you realize why he made all the choices he made. I cried for him a few times, he is so sweet and nothing like the man I read in Shatter Me or Unravel Me. I loved this Warner *Aaron* so much more.

- Adam
What do I say? He broke my heart. This entire time in Shatter Me and Unravel Me I could never see Juliette with Warner and thought Adam was amazing for her but he was horrible in this book. He made me cry and was such a jerk. I dropped my book once on one of his outbursts, I was in complete shock. I could not believe it was the same Adam from book one and book two. I did not want to believe how he was turning, I just couldn't fit my head around it.

- James
I love James so much. I wish he were my little brother instead, he is just so adorable. I absolutely love this little boy. He was so cute whenever he talked to Warner, it was just cute.

- Kenji
Kenji, hilarious as always. He made me burst into laughter with the "Bruce Lee" line. He is an awesome best friend to Juliette and did I mention hilarious? His power is so cool, to turn invisible and others? I wish I had that one.

Overall, I absolutely loved this book. I think I would have loved it more if Adam weren't such a jerk. I still can't believe how he acted. I am so happy for Warner and Juliette and I will definitely be reading the sequels to this series. I am so happy I read this book and was stunned, I honestly had no idea I was going to love this book so much. I thought it was pure perfection and thought the scenes rolled out really nicely. This was an excellent ending to the trilogy of Shatter Me.

Stacking The Shelves [1]

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

 ✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿

 ✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿✿

I have 9 books to share with you!

1. Strange Angels by  Lilith Saintcrow
ღ I picked this book out my TBR jar and received it from my ebook library. I am very interested in reading this book and I want to know how this book plays out. I have a very good feeling about this book.

2. Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi
ღ I have been wanting to get this book for such a long time and I am extra excited to start it because I will be reading this book as a buddy read. I have loved the first two in this series and I am thrilled to see how it ends! I cannot wait to get this book into my hands in a few minutes after this post.

3. Deadly Little Secret by Laurie Stolarz
ღ This series looks absolutely amazing and a lot of my friends on goodreads have rated this book 4 and 5 stars. The cover attracts me, and the blurb makes me want to start the book already!

4. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
ღ I have heard such amazing things by this book. It looks very intriguing. A retelling of Cinderella? Yes, please! I love fairytale retellings. I haven't read one in awhile and this book fits just what I need for a new fairytale retelling. Many people have recommended this book to me and I cannot wait to see how much I will enjoy this one. At least, I hope it enjoy it!

5. Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson
ღ I received this book as another book in my ebook library. The cover looks really nice, and I guess that is all I have to say about that. I am just very interested in reading all these books. I have a readathon this week and I hope to finish at least 6 of these books by the end of this week.

6. Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr
ღ Yes! I am so very excited to read this book! I have been dying to read this for such a long time. It looks so good. The cover is gorgeous, and I absolutely love books about witches.

7. Frozen by Melissa De La Cruz
ღ I am not really sure about this book. This was another book picked at random from my TBR jar and I honestly have no idea what it is about. The first 3 books in the Blue Blood series by Melissa I did not enjoy, I hope this turns around for my thoughts of her writing. I really do hope I end up liking this one though.

8. Keeping The Moon by Sarah Dessen
ღ I love Sarah Dessen but the last book I read from her, I wasn't very fond of it. I know she is an amazing writer because a few other books that was written by her, I have loved so I am not underestimating this book just because of Dreamland.

9. The Summoning by Kelly Armstrong
ღ I have had this book on my to be read shelf for such a long, it's about time I finally got it. I kept holding it off even though it was the very first books on the shelves of my public library, yet I never got it. Now I did and I am excited to read it.

So those are my books! I know there was a handful but I really do think I can finish at LEAST 6 or 7 books. But I do have a good feeling I may be able to finish all these books by next Sunday. I will be at the library most of the week so I should get plenty of reading done there!

Pushing The Limits by Katie McGarry - Book Review

Title: Pushing The Limits
Author: Katie McGarry
Publication: July 31, 2012
Series: Pushing The Limits #1
Format: Ebook
My Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥

Summary:

So wrong for each other …and yet so right.

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal.

But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.

Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

My Review:

This was an amazing, emotional, phenomenal, heartbreaking, loving read!! I absolutely loved this book. I mean, I suspected a lot from this book based on my friends' reviews but I was blown away. This book was definitely phenomenal and flawless.

- Echo
I love her name. I love how she stood up for herself in the end. She is another one of my favorite girl characters. I could not believe what she went through all her life. I could only imagine her scars and the pain she mush have went through.

- Noah
Man, where do I begin?? I fell in love with Noah. I mean he curses a little too much for my liking but he curses a little too much for my liking but he has a caring heart. I love the way he feels about his brothers. It was heartbreaking to see him suffer so much, as well with Echo.

Overall, I cannot believe how much this book touched my heart. I also can't believe how the book played out. I wish the next book was about Echo and Noah but I am still thrilled to see Beth's story. As I said before and I will say it again, this book was flawless.

The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han - Book Review

Title: The Summer I Turned Pretty
Author: Jenny Han
Publication: May 5, 2009
Series: Summer #1
Format: Hardcover
My Rating: ♥♥♥

Summary:

Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer--they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one terrible and wonderful summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.

My Review:

This was a cute read. I enjoyed the writing and thought it was very enjoyable. I did have a few problems with remembering what was happening after the flashbacks. I had to go to the chapter before to regain my memory just a few times.

- Belly
First off, I thought her name was adorable but she was very childish for her age. I didn't understand why she continued to see Cam after realizing she didn't really like him. She waited the entire summer before letting him go. I didn't like Belly's character but I hope she matures at least some in the next books.

- Jeremiah
I thought Jeremiah was cute. I would have liked him as a boyfriend for a little but I have to agree with Belly in this case, I would have preferred Conrad instead. Jeremiah joked a little too much for my liking.

- Conrad
Throughout the book, I thought Conrad was very obnoxious but the ending made me really like him. He gave a lot of mixed signals to Belly which confused her. He was very hard to understand at times.

Overall, this was a fast and enjoyable read. I am looking forward to reading more romance in the next book in the series. I will definitely get the second book in my hands the next time I head out to the library.

Last Breath by Rachel Caine - Book Review

Title: Last Breath
Author: Rachel Caine
Publication: November 1, 2011
Series: Morganville Vampires #11
Format: Hardcover
My Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥

Summary:

With her boss preoccupied researching the Founder Houses in Morganville, student Claire Danvers is left to her own devices when she learns that three vampires have vanished without a trace. She soon discovers that the last person seen with one of the missing vampires is someone new to town-a mysterious individual named Magnus. After an uneasy encounter with Morganville's latest resident, Claire is certain Magnus isn't merely human. But is he a vampire-or something else entirely?

My Review:

- Claire
I could not believe what happened to Claire. I have loved Claire's character from the beginning and I still do. She is just so fearless and amazing!

- Shane
I absolutely love Shane. He made me cry through this book which made me love him even more than I did, which I didn't know was possible. My heart belongs to him.

- Michael
I couldn't believe what Frank said to Michael. I also couldn't believe Michael admitted it to himself, I never knew he thought that way about Claire in the beginning. But I know he truly loves Eve and doesn't see Claire like that now and would never do anything with her that would hurt Shane.

 - Eve
Eve is still very hilarious. I love her character. What can I say? I absolutely love all the characters in this book.

Overall, I loved this book and cannot was for the next book. This was a great installment to the series and I'm glad we got to see through everyone's point of view, including Amelie.

The Selection by Kiera Cass - Book Review

Title: The Selection
Author: Kiera Cass
Publication: April 24, 2012
Series: The Selection #1
Format: Hardcover
My Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥

Summary:

For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon.

But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.

Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself—and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

My Summary:

This was an awesome read! The romance was really cute. Although, I do wish things sped up for America and Maxon.

- America
I really enjoyed America's character. She was herself throughout the selections. I was surprised on how the other girls that were selected could be so shallow. America didn't let any of the girls push her down, which happened quite a lot. I love she treated her maids unlike the other ladies.

- Aspen
I really liked Aspen's character in the beginning. He was cute, but when he ended it and wanted her back was just not right. He's the one that begged her to join the selection, if he didn't want to be with Maxon then he shouldn't have told her to go in.

- Maxon
Maxon was a sweet guy. He did irritate me at times but he was cute. I just didn't like the way he made all the girls think he was treating them the same. Doing the same thing with them all.

Overall, I loved this book. It was a cute and enjoyable read. The romance was spectacular and I am anxious to get the next book in my hands the next trip to the library.

Cloaked by Alex Flinn - Book Review

Title: Cloaked
Author: Alex Flinn
Series: None.
Publication: February 8, 2011
Format: Hardcover
My Rating: ♥♥♥

Summary:

I’m not your average hero. I actually wasn’t your average anything. Just a poor guy working an after-school job at a South Beach shoe repair shop to help his mom make ends meet. But a little magic changed it all.

It all started with the curse. And the frognapping. And one hot-looking princess, who asked me to lead a rescue mission.

There wasn’t a fairy godmother or any of that. And even though I fell in love along the way, what happened to me is unlike any fairy tale I’ve ever heard. Before I knew it, I was spying with a flock of enchanted swans, talking (yes, talking!) to a fox named Todd, and nearly trampled by giants in the Keys.

Don’t believe me? I didn’t believe it either. But you’ll see. Because I knew it all was true, the second I got CLOAKED.

My Review:

This was a cute book. I didn't really know what to expect through this book. I really loved the movie Beastly so I thought a little more of it. But it was an enjoyable read.

- Johnny
Johnny was a strong character. He was pretty slow at figuring out a few things, but he was intelligent. I respect that he only really agreed to marry the princess and take the challenge to help his mother.

- Meg
I really liked Meg's character. She was mysterious, intelligent and hilarious. I took Johnny a very long time to understand her and the way she felt about him. All the signs were showing in the beginning and he only got them through the ending, boys.

Overall, this was an alright book. I liked the adventure but it wasn't something I absolutely loved.

Dreamland by Sarah Dessen - Book Review

Title: Dreamland
Author: Sarah Dessen
Series: None.
Publication: May 11, 2004
Format: Paperback
My Rating: ♥♥

Summary:

Wake up, Caitlin

Ever since she started going out with Rogerson Biscoe, Caitlin seems to have fallen into a semiconscious dreamland where nothing is quite real. Rogerson is different from anyone Caitlin has ever known. He's magnetic. He's compelling. He's dangerous. Being with him makes Caitlin forget about everything else--her missing sister, her withdrawn mother, her lackluster life. But what happens when being with Rogerson becomes a larger problem than being without him?

My Review:

This was an alright book. I really thought I was going to end up loving this one, but sadly I was wrong. I enjoyed it but it wasn't what I thought it would be.

- Caitlin
Caitlin was a very weak character. There were so many opportunities to come clean, but she never did! She irritated me a lot. Her taking cheerleading though just because her sister never did was sad. As if she wanted to do things her sister never did would make her better than her, it made her look pretty pathetic in my opinion.

- Rogerson
Rogerson is the type of guy you really like when you first meet him but once you go on one date with him, you would drop his sorry butt. He leaves you in the car to handle some "business" which was selling crack for a living is just wrong and I cannot believe there are girls today who stay with guys like this. Although, I give my respects to those who are in the kind of relationship where the man threatens her life if she leaves, but there are a lot of people in this world who could help them. But in Caitlin's case, it's really pathetic and just sad.

Overall, the writing was nice and it was a quick read but I didn't love it. I really love Sarah Dessen but this was not what I was expecting.

Format: Paperback
My Rating: ♥♥♥♥

Summary:

With the battle against the Black Wings looming, Clara knows she must finally fulfill her destiny. But it won’t come without sacrifices and betrayal.

In the riveting finale of the Unearthly series, Clara must decide her fate once and for all.

My Review:

This was an awesome book! I really liked it. I wish there was more scenes with Tucker than there were. I thought this book was a great book for the end of the series. I'm being pretty greedy for wanting more, but this was an awesome end.

- Clara
I really enjoyed getting to see more of Clara's powers. She was an awesome character and very strong. Her fighting in the end was phenomenal. I love how everything planned out for her.

- Tucker
I absolutely love Tucker. He was more of a jerk than he was before. Who am I kidding? Tucker was a never a jerk. But he was pretty jerky in this book through the beginning. My eyes were pouring down waterfalls through the ending when I thought he was gone, I was balling my eyes out.

- Christian
I started getting onto Christian's side when Tucker was being a jerk to Clara, but I wasn't 100% with him like I was with Tucker.

- Angela
Angela annoyed me. She was very irritating but she was okay in the end. Her behavior throughout the middle chapters were bizarre and pretty much annoying. I guess that it explains it best.

Overall, this was a great ending to a great series. I really enjoyed this one and will always look back at Clara & Tucker's adorable relationship.

My Review:

I really liked this book. Every book in this series has a different story to tell. And the one was awesome! I am so happy I read it.

- Claire
I have always loved Claire's character and I still do. She is one of the most fearless, adventurous, and most phenomenal character I have read. When she sets her mind on something, she does it. She is an extraordinary character to read.

- Shane
I love love love Shane! I am so glad we got to see into his mind a couple of times through this book. It was great to see how he was feeling through this things that were going on.

- Eve
Eve is hilarious as usual. I love the way she always jokes around with everybody. She is another great character, she is a hardcore chick.

- Michael
Michael feels likes a brother to me. He is always so protective it remind me of how my older brother is to me. That bomb that went down between him and Eve left me speechless, I can't wait to for that to happen.

Overall, this was a really great book. I cannot wait to start on to the next book.
